and Racial Justice -
America's "original sin." Struggles around affirmative action,
welfare and immigration reform, and other policies show that
the racial divide in the United States wasn't healed in the
civil rights era. These sessions will be designed to spark
discussion, thought, and action about how to live out God's
call for justice for all.

The ELCA is preparing a social statement that addresses issues
in genetics and biotechnology which was authorized by the 2005
Churchwide Assembly. On November 1, 2008, a study on genetics

Children's Ministry Magazine Live presents the 2008 National
Workshop entitled "Plant the seeds that give kids a Faith that
Grows." This one-day workshop will be held on Saturday, September

and White Plains, Maryland. ASLC will pay your registration
