Music Our choirs provide musical leadership for our worship services.
Chancel Choir
The Chancel Choir is the Senior Choir of All Saints. The Chancel
choir is composed of about 25 members and usually sings at the 11:00am service.
This choir sings traditional anthems in SATB voicing. Practices are held at
8:00 on Thursday evenings. The Chancel Choir does not sing
during the summer months.
The ability to read music is certainly desired, but not necessary. You need
not be a member of All Saints to sing in the Chancel Choir.
Sonshine Choir
The Sonshine Choir leads the early worship service and is a newer
and smaller group than the Chancel Choir. Its 6~8 members use more contemporary
Christian music as well as folk songs and spirituals to enhance worship.
There is often guitar accompaniment. The Sonshine Choir rehearses
on Thursday nights at 7 pm.
Children's
Choir
At All Saints Lutheran Church, every child is part of the music
program beginning in Sunday School when they learn songs as part
of their Christian growth. The Children's Choir is for those children
who want a richer musical experience in the church. The choir sings
approximately once a month at one of the services. It is
a great
opportunity
for youth
to
learn music fundamentals
as
well as an introduction to the music which supports our faith.
Our
Organ
An important part of the worship and music life of All Saints
is our new Rogers 757 Trilliam electronic organ with Dimensional Sound Modeling
- a digital blend of authentic pipe organ sounds and acoustical echoing which
was installed on December 24, 2000. The
organ has 108 total stops, including a
Digital Zimbelstern. Presets include General pistons 1-10, Great divisionals
1-5, Swell divisionals
1-5, Choir divisionals 1-5 and Pedal divisionals 1-5. It has four internal
memory levels. The organ, without the pedal board, is 52" high, 70" wide and 35" deep.
It weighs 570 lbs. There are 10 speakers located in the speaker enclosure above
the entrance doors in the back of the sanctuary and 4 antiphonal speakers mounted
in the front of the sanctuary in the top of the apse.
Our Director of Music
Mr.
