Continuing to Expand God's Mission
All Saints recently stood and took a step forward to expand God's Mission through the purchase of 5 acres of property adjacent to the church. The purchase of this property opens up numerous opportunities for ASLC to beter serve the World in the name of Jesus. All Saints is currently holding open meetings to brainstorm our vision for the use of this property. The Visioning Task Group invites all who are interested to attend a discussion group this month to discuss the questions “What do you believe is God’s vision for All Saints Church? What do you value most about gather, worship, learn, and serve at All Saints Church? What is God calling our congregation to be in 2020? The dates for additional discussion gatherings are: Sunday, September 16 at 12:15 pm; Sunday, September 23 at 12:15 pm; Monday, September 24 at 7:30 pm; Thursday, September 27 at 10:00 am. If you are unable to attend a gathering and would like to share your comments via e-mail or through individual conversation, please contact one of the Task Group members – Chris Austell, Jane Bossler, Ann Greenawalt, John Rees, John Summerlot, or Louise Waynant.

Food Needed

Locally: The Bowie Community Pantry at CCPC is always in need of groceries. During the summer months the pantry non-perishable food supplies quickly dwindle. Please remember that hunger does not take a summer vacation. Put your food donations in the food baskets in the ASLC foyer.
Globally: Your gifts to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal assist people in need in the United States and around the world. Please use the Blue envelopes on the narthex table for your donations...or indicate World Hunger on your offering envelope. Checks should be make out to All Saints Lutheran Church.

Parish Nurse Ministry
The Parish Nurses of All Saints continue to offer blood pressure screening on the first Sunday of the month. You will find them in the Fellowship Hall ready to read your blood pressure so that you can have an accurate reading as you monitor your own health situation. Thanks to our Parish Nurses!
