Saints Lutheran Church has been named the first place of worship
for certified as an official wildlife habitat by the National
Wildlife Federation. Learn more about this exciting certification

Continuing
to Expand God's Mission
All Saints recently stood and took a step forward to expand God's
Mission through the purchase of 5 acres of property adjacent to the church.
The purchase of this property opens up numerous opportunities
for
ASLC
to
beter
serve
the
World
in the name of Jesus. All Saints is currently holding open meetings to brainstorm
our vision for the use of this property. The Visioning Task Group invites all
who are interested to attend a
discussion group this month to discuss the questions “What do you
believe
is
God’s vision for All Saints Church? What do you value most about gather,
worship, learn, and serve at All Saints Church? What is God calling our
congregation to be in 2020? The dates for additional discussion
gatherings are: Sunday, September 16 at 12:15 pm; Sunday, September 23 at 12:15
pm; Monday, September
24 at 7:30 pm; Thursday, September 27 at 10:00 am. If you are unable to attend
a gathering and would like to share your
comments via e-mail or through individual conversation, please contact one of
the
Task
Group members – Chris
Austell, Jane Bossler, Ann Greenawalt, John Rees, John Summerlot, or Louise Waynant.

The
Bowie Community Pantry at CCPC is always in need of groceries.
During the summer months the pantry non-perishable food supplies
quickly dwindle. Please remember that hunger does not take
a summer vacation. Put your food donations in the food baskets
in the ASLC foyer. |

Your
gifts to the ELCA World Hunger Appeal assist people in need
in the United States and around the world. Please use the
Blue envelopes on the narthex table for your donations...or
indicate World Hunger on your offering envelope.

Parish
Nurse Ministry
The Parish Nurses of All Saints continue to offer blood pressure screening on
the first Sunday of the month. You will find them in the Fellowship Hall ready
to read your blood pressure so that you can have an accurate reading as you monitor
your own health situation. Thanks to our Parish Nurses!
