"Everything belongs to God; we are caretakers. In response to God's generosity, we joyfully offer our time, our possessions, and ourselves. We are grateful for the gifts God has given." (ELCA 2001)

Budget and Finance
All Saints' Budget and Finance ministry is responsible for the formulation of annual budgets and for tracking income and expenditures against those budgets througout the year. This ministry team also handles ASLC's insurance activities, arranges for offering counters, arranging annual audits, and deals with other financial matters as they arise. For example, the ministry team recently renegotiated the church mortgage at a considerable savings. This ministry team meets extensively in the fall and early winter to formulate the budget and refine it when the stewardship drive concludes.

Property

Our goal is to ensure the church is maintained in such a way that it is inviting, attractive and appeals to members and visitors alike. It must be neat, orderly and well-maintained. It should show we care and that we know He cares about us. The ministry team works to provide clean, comfortable and attractive facilities for worship. The Church facility must also support our educational activities with clean, well-equipped classrooms and a nursery. We also open our church to the community for Girl Scouts, Alcoholics Anonymous and other community groups to welcome people into the Lord’s house. The church is the scene of numerous social and fellowship events throughout the year. Those events are vital to the life of the church and it is equally important that our facility be equipped to support them. The appearance of the Church property has an important role in evangelism, it must be welcoming and stalwart.

Like all worthwhile things, it takes quite a bit of work to maintain the Property to the standards we have established. But it isn’t all work; there is good fellowship among the committee members and the volunteers who support the various work activities. For most of us, gardening, home repairs and woodworking are all hobbies. Is there a better use of these talents, skills and interests? We share our interests, learn from each other, support each other, and we strengthen our friendships and our commitment to the Lord. If God didn’t want us to enjoy the fellowship of a lawn mowing party, he wouldn’t make the grass grow. The Property ministry team is about using your time, yourself and your possessions to show His gracious love.

Stewardship

The mission of the Stewardship ministry team is to strengthen and support members of the congregation in their knowledge and understanding of their role as God's steward by:

  • hosting and/or participating with other ministry team representatives in an informal welcoming event to orient new members as to the nature and needs of the church;

  • developing and implementing a creative program in which every member of the church shall be contacted to offer them an opportunity to provide voluntary services and monetary resources to carry out the ministries of the church and to provide an avenue for the membership to express their thoughts, concerns, and suggestions on existing and future church activities and ministries;

  • providing other ministry teams and task groups, a listing of members desiring to volunteer their time and talent; and

  • making the congregation aware of the needs of the church, other congregations, the synod, and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and providing an avenue for the Congregation to support these needs.
