First
Place of Worship for Certified Wildlife
All
Saints Lutheran Church has been named the first place of worship
for certified as an official wildlife habitat by the National
Wildlife Federation. With the acquisition of the North property,
All Saints has expanded its campus to 9, mostly wooded acres. The
All Saints campus attracts a variety of wildlife and provides natural
habitat for a variety of species in the ever expanding suburban
city of Bowie and PG County. All Saints proudly joins 67 private
homes and one school in Bowie, Yorktown Elementary, who share the
honor of holding this certification.
 The
wildlife habitat at All Saints is just one component of our larger
efforts at being environmental stewards of God's Earth. All Saints
has recently begun an informational campaign at the church to raise
awareness of the need for God's people to be good stewards of the
environment. The new campaign is meant to enlighten All the Saints
in what they can do in their daily lives beyond recycling in order
to ensure we have a healthy planet for many future generations.
For more information on All Saints' environmental programs, please
contact the church office.
